Iam a retired machinist, of 30 yrs. Love woodworking been doing it bout as long as I was a machinist, they kinda go hand in hand. Also trying to self teach me the art of woodcarving. Been reading alot on internet, books , carving magazines, etc.,this is a new hobby I am trying to learn. As Iam getting closer to actual retirement got to fill up the time so wife dont get to many honeydue list going lol. Also love fishing so gonna have to work it out were rainy days in shop and sunny on lake , if know what mean. I also work pt for Home Depot ,so have chance to see new products that come out and get first shot at them lol. Oh yes and I do have my helpers I need to name too, Chance English Springer Spaniel, of 3 yrs., and Bear, 2yr old Shitzu, they love being in the shop with me even though they just lay around in the corner and play. I also belong to Like all these sites and just joined Woodcentral'sWoodcarving forum.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.
