Welcome to Lumber Jocks Cheryl! It’s great to see that you’ve jumped right into the forums. I have found them to be an excellent source of information and advice about woodworking. The projects are always fun to look at. Sometimes I see projects that I know I will never be able to do but they are kind of inspirational. The provide a destination that I may strive to get to. Anyway, I enjoy this site immensely. I hope you will too!

Cheryl, Welcome to LJ’s. If I were you, I’d consider spending any left over cash you might have on an Air Conditioning Unit for the shop. That way your tresses wont get too curly while you are working up a sweat learning to shape wood with hand tools. Enjoy and Happy New Years.
PS.. Did you notice that most folks get a handful of “Welcome to LJ’s” and you, the self professed blonde female have receive dozens already? LOL.

Cheryl, welcome to a new lj. A couple of points to remember
. We are all students, at some level wether as a beginner or some one more advanced. we are also teachers in that we share what we have learned. This is more like a very large and diversied family with every thing you might find in a related family members. Being blonde might mean some thing to you but most of us kind of think that natural hair is sawdust color or covered by a cap. I suspect you are hardly the only beer drinker ( he says as he takes a swallow) just one thing …. beer is best AFTER all the tools are put to bed. welcome

Welcome to lumberjocks. If you are having problems with your safety glasses fogging up try wiping them down with a dryer sheet or get some no-fog from a sporting goods store.
