I'm a largely self-taught woodworker. I've always got several projects in mid-stream - I start more than I actually finish. My family and friends are usually the recipients of those projects I do finish.
I dream of ditching the day job (as a computer geek) and enrolling full-time at the North Bennett Street School in Boston (where I took at workshop class last spring) and then abandoning the big city for the wilds of the Adirondack mountains. Don't expect this to happen anytime soon...
The name of my website is in honor of my granddad who worked in the building trades and who I loved to watch work on the old house I grew up in. Of course, he didn't think girls belonged in the shop, so I never did get to learn anything from him.
