well I suppose it's time to change my bio. I'm no longer active duty, was discharged 28 March 2015. Since then i've spent most of my time trying to work through the pain in my back and keep putting out nice looking firewood in my tiny shop. i've refused to be in my wheelchair anymore and even though sometimes it hurts too bad to get up I still try to push through it. Full time student now working on my Bachelors of Medical Science at Michigan Technological University while raising 2 boys. If i'm not making sawdust i'm usually laying down waiting for the nerves to stop screaming. woodworking is better physical therapy than the "professionals" have you do I can say that with confidence! Back where I grew up in the upper peninsula of michigan where it's winter about 75% of the year. If you find yourself bored, and in a wheelchair, that's the perfect time to pick up a very physically challenging hobby!

As some of you know I’ve started learning how to do everything with hand tools. I feel more in control when I use them and I can do everything in my living room (not without the wife throwing the occasional comment about my mess) and still b...
