hi everyone, i’m new to lumber jocks and i just want to say thanks for the warm welcomes. here’s a little about me.
my name is aidan and i’m 14. (i know, pretty young) my family has a history of woodworking and i grew up around it all my life. I’m primarily a wood turner and i sell turned pens that i inlay. A couple months back i decided i wanted to try other forms of woodworking so during my search for info on box making, etc. i came upon Lumber jocks. so that’s why i’m here now and i’m just excited to see if any of you have any tips, etc for me!

Welcome aboard! Being so young, you can save yourself a lot of grief hanging out here and forgetting cars and girls for a few years!! :-) Keep you fingers out of the table saw and your thumb out of the way of the hammer!! Just a few words from a gray beard.

Hi Aiden. The combined age of the people on this site is about 331,760 yrs if they have all been honest, so if you can,t find it here you won,t find it anywhere ( ok I guessed the age thing)

Welcome Aidan,
As MsDebbie says, We hope you share as well.
Nobody here knows it all, and even a 14-year old can teach something to some of us.

Welcome Aidan! I’m always glad to see someone from the younger generation that wants to keep woodworking by hand alive. Very glad you could join us!

Welcome Aidan. It is great to have you on board. It is refreshing to see someone your age who is so focused and an accomplished turner as well. It is good to see someone your age into something other than sitting in front of a WII all day.

Welcome to Lumberjocks Aidan!.
Aggregate/No. of LJs = mean age
331760/8298 = about 40
500000/8298 = about 60 I’m gonna stick with the aggregate age of 331,760, but my birthday is on Sunday so it pushes me a bit closer to the second aggregate age ;-)
