I on occasion visit antique stores and such looking for hand tools. Since building my workbench I have an interest in old workbenches and how they were built. I found this bench on a recent outing.

Antique work bench

looked like it was solid oak and had a slant leg vise.

Had a nice tail vise as well with those little metal caps that spin up and grab the work which you can see in the picture.

Not that I can afford the 1200 dollar price tag but I was intrigued by this piece.

Joe, mind PM’ing me where you saw this? I might be just the sucker they’re looking for.

I see these from time to time as well Joe. I always flip the price tag over hoping somebody doesn’t know what they sell for. I love that leg vice.

Oh how I would love to see that in my shop. Never see anything remotely close to that when I’m out looking….

You can always make a counter offer Al…. It looks a bit light in weight to me…
