My dad found an old shopsmith at a garage sale for 150. restored the machine to its former glory. he bought it to me to have. has the table saw attachment, jigsaw, drill press horizontal boring.

You just have to love the old shop smiths! Looks like you have a good one here. I have a Mark 5 and I love it.

I envy you being able to use yours immediately :-)

I have found the ShopSmith Users' Forum extremely helpful, and they seem to be a great bunch of guys.

Very nice restoration there. Great present from your dad. I always look at getting one, just never did it though..

Congratulations on your new/old Shopsmith. I have 3 10er’s & love them. All 3 have been restored by me.They will last longer than you or I will with a little care & maintenance. A great group for that specific machine is:

I’m with SSTom, I have done two Er’s so far and have three more in the shop to work on. You have to love the dependability of these old machines and how simple they are to keep going. Very good tool to add to any shop.

bill think i have seen your machines on the yahoo group cool to see someone else in oklahoma with one. also two have come up recently on Craigslist one for 900 (rediculous) and one for 200. before that i always saw the mark V’s
