I am working on a table for a friend and finally gotten to the finishing part of the process. I am playing with something new which is turning out well so far. I bought a can of wiping poly and added some BLO (Boiled Linseed Oil). Then wiping on with a cotton rag. This is the easiest to apply aside from shellac. The wood I am using is maple which is the same stuff I talked about getting from a cabinet shop dumpster. The maple was originally cabinet door styles and rails. Took me a while to make the top because of the glue up being of strips of 2 inches or so.

Also its cold in the shop I need to insulate it when spring comes.
