Location: Houston

Independent Insurance Agency Owner. I have many hobbies, one of which is most certainly wood working. I developed an affinity for wood working in junior high school in Minnesota. The majority of my woodworking is in the form of remodeling jobs and home improvement projects on a hobby basis. I am by no means a professional wood worker, so I can always learn from more hard core hobbyists and pros. I live in Houston, TX and have a lake house on Lake Livingston where I have my shop as well. I have a rather extensive amount of mechanical, as well as woodworking tools, but I'm always on the lookout for frugal additions to my stable of equipment.

Welcome to Lumber Jocks! This is a great place to get – or give – advice about woodworking on the forums and the project posts are a wonderful source of new ideas. I look forward to seeing your projects and posts.

To get the most feedback on your projects, it’s best to only post 1 or 2 at a time. This way you will get feedback over several days and from a wide variety of members.

Please enjoy your membership.

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…
