671 posts in 533 days Location: Maryville, MO I am a beginning woodworker - I once was a gearhead (still am, really), but after graduating high school and moving away from my Dad's huge shop I found that its hard to restore/hot rod vehicles in a driveway or a small 2 car garage...so I traded in the welder for a hand plane, and away I went! I've been dabbling in the wood realm for about a year and a half, and have refinished an old coffee table, built a pathetic built-in workbench, and a cabinet for my shop which STILL isnt done, but its hanging on the wall and storing stuff...maybe someday I'll build the drawers and doors... I also built a box for a friend's wife as an anniversary present - nothing huge, just a box jointed outfit.
