Well we spent Friday afternoon with my posse. (Auction Sale people). Wet ,windy sale was indoors. Picked up a small 4 /12 jointer for $10. They were selling a PILE outside the door, this was part of the pile, little wagon, 3 pt hitch arms and the jointer. (Rusty as heck) I did turn the spindle and it moved freely, the bearing are good, no motor and lots of rust. I was bidding against this fellow and he didn’t seem to want to quit, HE won the pile, as he was carrying it away I asked what he really wanted. He said the little wagon, I offered him $10 for that rusty thing (he took it)I really don’t think he knew what it was and I wasn’t about to tell him. So after cleaning, soaking scraping I have my little jointer. Next is build the frame, I do have a motor already. I am not sure what brand it is. It has a love joy coupler in the shaft, wondering maybe an old one from a shop smith system ?

Great find. Look under it, there may be a name molded into it or model number

There are days you just GOTTA love the auction ! Nice score !
as he wasn’t getting prices he wanted for a whole lot of effort. He went to selling by the pallett, and burried in this one was a cardboard box of Stanley planes and parts. Got the pallet, and made a proffit on the rest of the stuff, old (and weathered) welding rod,
warped grinder disks, that kinda stuff, even gave some things away.. In the Stanley box was a complete #3 as well as other stuff I’m still finding uses for..#3 cleaned up real nice and has a home in my collection..

I got into a bidding war a while back when the auctioneer decided to quit the individual sales

Great haul. Take your time restoring it and I’d love to see it with a shiny new paint job.
