Hello everyone. Finally the weather is great. this is important when you only have a tiny space to work from. Most of my work is done outside if possible. Been a LONG winter, Cold days. I spent the few days out in shop sharpening as many tools as I could. These past few days I have the energy to create, been spending most of this time TRYING to clean up, it seems I spent a lot of time just opening the door and stuffing things inside.YIKES . It also appears that every tool I want to use was NOT sharpened, whoops, missed that one too !I am just hoping the rest of you people are not having to deal with the same issues I am this spring. NEXT year I will be prepared….YA RIGHT.

glad you are getting
‘back in the saddle’
as it were

it has been a long winter
i had planed to spend it making jigs
and processes for making tables to support myself with
but a leg injury
has kept me from all shop work
just now getting to move around some

so i guess we start here
and move forward
as we can

So few things in this life are truly certain.

One thing that is, though: if you sharpen EVERY TOOL BUT ONE, you know which one you’ll grab for, the next time you head to the shop.

Don’t fight it. It’s a force greater than all of us ;-)

Sorry but its been spring here for months now. All my tools are sharp and the entire shop ship shape. Yeah…right…and pigs now fly (except for the spring in Feb. part).

I still haven’t started the clean up/organization thing. I just keep shoving things to the side and work around the mess. Since it’s getting warm out I can work in the yard. There’s no messy stuff there. Just an empty old picnic table. Tableau Rosa. :) I hate cleaning. HATE IT!

I still can’t figure how two people have so many garden tools..especialy as I don’t do much yard work.. In the midst of a refurbish on a Millers Falls number 10 plane they all went through my shop..20 rakes, shovels, edgers, spades, forks and such..all now with fresh finish on the handles, bright red paint on the metal Now back to #10..(it’s their version of a Stanley 4 and a half)..still with orriginal milling marks on sole and sides and flat and true, never touched.
Oh, Kelly..gotta sweep the floor and vacum first, get rid of the garden crud. I’m with you, hate cleaning, but gotta do what you gotta do..

Well it was nice for like 2 days and has been rainy and cold ever since. I am not cleaning the garage in the rain. Nada. One more reason to avoid cleaning. ;)
