Is it just me ?
I am contemplating quit reading LJ for awhile.(NOT REALLY)THIS IS THE REASON.
(In the 60’s it was “far out” 70’s was “cool” 80’s was “right on”, 90’s was “KEWL”)
(I guess the 2010 word might be AWESOME) hard to keep up with political correct words.
I then go out to my workshop and rather do the work that I should be doing I start to build the Jig that I saw on here or I look for material that I could use to build the project that I just saw !(English teachers might say “have seen” but saw is a woodworking pun.)
I went through this several years ago when I discovered home reno shows on TV saturday mornings. (Rather than doing the honeydew list I was watching these programs.
Someone told me when I joined that this site is addictive !
I do enjoy the blogs.
The projects.
The forum topics.
Keep it up people, for some of us that don’t get out much, this is an outlet !

Yep, Lumberjocks is definitely an enjoyable and inspiring place.

You could make this ‘or some’ other thing.

I look forward to the day when I make something worthy of posting on LJ. That day will come later this week (unless I totally screw it up :) ).

I too have the problem of spending so much time reading and looking that I don’t have the time to do anything!

Mind you, for me that’s a good thing, as my health also keeps me out of the shop most days, and this is the closest I can get. It helps. It’s no substitute for the sound of the tools and the smell of the wood, but it helps…

I swear that if I built every jig I’ve seen on here that I liked, there’d be no room in my shop to move, let alone work! :)

I often go to my computer and login to LJ’s to look for an idea of something I might want to build. Then I wind up running out of time to build anything because I can’t decide what I want to try to make.

-- Hey, woodworking ain't brain surgery. Just do something and keep trying till you get it. Doc
