Completed Millwork and Cabinet making at college in Saskatchewan.
Worked for cabinet company after completing school.
Over the years I have taken collage courses in electrical, plumbing, welding and 2 years of "futures & hedging " Each instructor used to tell me, you don't know it all yet, just enough to be dangerous !
I do NOT have a journeyman certificate in anything !(Hindsight now says I should have) I will do anything now (within my limits) to help people further their education. Knowledge is a powerful tool in life.
Started my own remodelling business in my hometown. Specializing in kitchens and baths. Dust and my lungs made me change careers.
I have watched the technology change dramatically in my short lifetime. Wandering what I would have been able to accomplish if I had todays materials and tools 30 years ago ?
Two words that we were taught not to say or hear "Can't" and "Never".
Last 3 years have been terrible.
Moved back WEST to work at collage helping instuctors at a trade school. Welding,Electrical, Millwright. This ended up being a (BIG JOKE). Northern Lakes Collage is a FARCE !
Now I have moved back EAST(2800 miles) to live with family and once again be with grandkids. All my tools stayed out west, no place here to put them. All these moves I ran out of cash. Today I wake up, go to work for minimum money, come home and sleep ! RETIREMENT ....BAH ! A man NEEDS his tools !

Welcome to Lumberjocks. The projects are an inspiration, the information is priceless and the people are supportive. The only problem is, the site can get addictive.

God Bless
tom

Hi there,
Welcome to LumberJocks… I joined the site myself a few months ago and will give you fair warning, this site is VERY ADDICTIVE, VERY EDUCATIONAL, and VERY FUN…. so sit back, enjoy the ride and learn from the other LJ’s as they are a group of extremely talented people that are also very friendly…

Enjoy your time here on LJ and pass the word to any of your woodworking buddies about us…

U just sent the first comment about having a bad day . But that wasn’t really the point I was trying to make, Just wanted to find out if I was not the only one that have them once in a while, Have to share some things just to see if you are not the only one feeling that way. I guess !!!
