Interesting Hand Tool Video - 7 replies
Just watched a very interesting video on the Wood Whisperer’s site. Marc had Kaleo Kala as a guest demonstrating hand tool techniques. You might want to View the video and who knows, learn something new or reinforce some old knowledge.

How do you sharpen your plane irons and chisels - 30 replies
I have the WorkSharp and when I bought it I thought that it would take care of my sharpening needs for my plane irons and chisels. It does a pretty good job and I thought that my tools were sharp. I recently bought the BUS Smoother and it was sharp out of the box. I also ordered, with the BUS, a set of 1000 & 4000 Japanese Water Stones an...

Interesting article..... - 4 replies
While surfing around the web looking at woodworking related articles I ran across a site that shows how a guy made a full size copy of the Liberty Bell http://www.ringlibertyring.com/ – entirely out of wood. It’s pretty interesting and he is very talented. Thought some of you might find it interesting too.

Freud's Box Joint Cutter Set - 11 replies
I just ordered a Freud’s Box Joint Cutter Set – Found it for $58.95 on Amazon.com – cheapest price I could find for it – everybody else had them at about $79.95. Has anyone tried this yet? Anybody out there using any of these – and if so, what are your thoughts. I already know that the new retail on these items is ove...

INCRA UNIVERSAL POSITIONING JIG - 14 replies
Has anyone used the Incra Universal Positioning Jig on their Router table yet? Shop Smith had a great review on them in this issue and I’m bitting at the bit to order one. Just wonder how difficult they are to master. Any suggestions/comments?

A FEW MORE PROJECTS - 8 replies
Here are a few more of my recent projects. The bowls and vase were made using my Ringmaster – the Bloodwood heart box was made on the bandsaw and the picture frame was, well you all know how that was made. It’s Maple and Cocobolo. Any comments or advice will be appreciated.

ELEPHANT CARVING - 1 reply
Just wanted to post my first carving project. It’s a small plaque that I carved for my wife (she collects elephants – I was her very first). I wish that I could take credit for carving by hand, but I actually used my Carve Wright machine – which I am still learning.
