Cabinetmaster,
One resource you might want to look at is Les Hastings with respect to curved doors. Les has posted a blog series on his method of construction for curved doors.
Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for the welcome! I’m a tool and diemaker/welder heading towards woodworking. Tomorrow I’ll actually start a small project, a hanging tool cabinet in plywood from FWW #188. I don’t have very many (woodworking) tools, so it will be a little challenge, I’ll post updates.

Hello – I am a little lost when I go into a hardware store and well the “workers” are not there really a help or they don’t understand my questions. I am about to embark on a large project, it is a Buffet table for my Mother & Father for Christmas. I have the wood, and tile picked out (White pine, and slate tile) – but I don’t know how much I need wood I need. My mom lives far away so I can’t just go over and get the measurements, and I can’t ask my dad for help because it is his surprise to, what would be a good size, they have a large oddly shaped kitchen and a traditional dinning room attached. I have made two small side tables and a bookcase, so i think I am ready to start. I only have hand tools, so what would be the first power tool I will need. I know that I want 4 cabinets, and 2 drawers, and 2 open slots for small wicker baskets – What would you suggest for the height and width for it? I was thinking 3.5 ft high x 5 ft long x 1 ft deep. Is that a good size? each side section would be 1.5 ft and the middle would be 2ft long.

Thanks Gary and Jim. I can’t believe myself that it has been almost a year since I found this site.
Thanks John for your comments also. Anybody that puts their mind to it can do this type of work. But I know many people that love woodworking but have no desire to be true craftsmen.
