Long-time lurker on various woodworking blogs and podcasts, I've recently had enough and decided to go for some action. So currently I'm trying to bootstrap a small shop in my living room, getting the bare minimum tools and something that can pretend to be a workbench :)

Thanks!

And it’s a really big part, given what little experience I have :)
I did make a pine bed-side table(t) with my father, a looong time ago… but nothing worth showing, really. In fact I’m still trying to get a correct first edge on my brand new chisels, and I need a file and flat reference surface to tune & sharpen a couple cheap Faithfull planes…

First serious project is a living room workbench, inspired by K. Woodruff’s:

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.
