I am making a series of Roorkhee chairs from hard maple which use a conical mortise hole which I am cutting with a three-flute reamer in a milling machine. The reamer cuts just fine but produces a high-pitch scream, even at low rpm. I am curious as to whether anyone has found a lubricant which might reduce that noise and yet not interfere with ...
