Hellow everyone,

What a wonderful welcome. I’m 54 and living in an appartment near Chicago. My wife and family live in Burlington Iowa where I’m making a shop in a one car garage. I hope to have everything paid for as far as my equipment,”holy cow 5500 and still buying” before I leave work next November when I’m 55. I’m just a beginer but have worked with my hands all my life so I am able to understand the consepts. I would like to get started with small boxes so that my mistakes will be small. Well thats me in a nut shell. I just got my steel city granit top table saw set up with the Incra fence system and now setting up shelves and lighting and the whole shabang.

God bless,

Welcome to LJs!

Enjoy the process of setting up your shop. It is a never ending job with a never ending return of fun, enjoyment & excitement.

BTW: I’m jealous of your saw & fence!

Welcome to LJ and I hope you enjoy woodworking. A wonderful hobby, especially for folks who are retired and have a good amount of free time for it. Looking forward to your posts.
