My shop is half of a two car garage. I have mostly Craftsman tools. I have 10 inch table saw that my parents bought me as a high school graduation present. I have since added a 10” Craftsman radial arm saw, 12” x 36” Craftsman lathe, a old 6” overhead Craftsman planer, 14” Craftsman band saw, 1.5 Craftsman router and table, 10” Craftsman band saw, Craftsman combination belt/disc sander, 10” drill press, 14” Craftsman scroll saw, 12” Dewalt mitre saw, Delta floor drill press, 13” Rigid planer and numerous power hand tools.
My prized piece is a 6” Craftsman jointer, my Grandfather bought this jointer in the 40’s when he started a cabinet shop. I was lucky enough to be able to buy this from him recently and restored it to most of the original condition. I had to put on a new motor and switch and a new lock on the fence.
Hope to send a lot of time in the shop this winter with my 16 year old son. We plan to build a gun cabinet for our guns and he has expressed and interest in making pens.
If we don’t do anything but make saw dust it will be well worth the time we spend together!
