Hi everyone!

I have continued to build my first Cedar Strip Canoe. So far it has not been too bad. I am really enjoying it. I have completed all the stripping and most of the outside sanding. I am ready to epoxy on the outer stems. Then I will have to do some fime sanding and fibre glass the outside. This is a really great project.

I am not sure if I told you or not but this canoe is for a buddy of mine. He is paying for the materials and I am giving him free labor. He really wanted a canoe and I really enjoy woodworking.

I have started a web site of the project. This is so that my friend (and anyone else) can track the progress. I keep uploading pics as the project progresses. Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think. Thanks.

Buck, this is one great documented project! I have been wanting to build one of these for years. Your blog may have just pushed me over the edge to do it. I really enjoyed your blog and the amount of detail. Nice work. Good luck!

Great project. I thought it was cool watching the canoe take shape just looking at your pictures, so I imagine seeing it in your own workshop has to be a great experience.
