Hi everyone!!!
I have just started on my first Cedar Strip Canoe. I have purchased a set of plan from LeeValley for a 17.5’ RedBird Canoe. I have completed cutting out the molds and almost completed milling the strips. This weekend will be setting up the strong back. Then the stripping will start.

Good luck Buck!!! What a great project. Any wood boat is worth the effort. The canoes are fantastic!

I’d love to build one some day. I think I’ll stick around and watch your progress. Thanks for sharing.

Good luck with it and have a ball! My brother-in-law is building a cedar strip kayak and it’s looking really good. He has the bottom finished and is almost done with the top. Beautiful boats.
