I’ve always been intrigued with that router, but have never physically seen or used one before. My impressions of it are: A fantabulous router to mount in a table, but god awful for anything else. It looks too bulky and awkward to be an effective hand held router. But I’m not speaking from experience.

I’ve been thinking about building a larger router table to replace the entry-level craftsman rig I’m using now. After watching that clip, the triton might be the dedicated router I’ll mount in it. Maybe I’ll be surprised and it’ll be a good freehand router too.

Nice demo:

Yes it’s a very good router. I have the 3 1/4 also what a hog it is, sware i’m using a shaper!!!
The 2 1/4 is also nice for out of the table use. Not awkward at all. And very powerful.
I have used about all the routers out there and Triton in my words is the best!!!!

I can vouch for the 3 1/4 too. Takes hard wood full bite if you wanted to. very powerful.

Thanks for posting. I ordered mine last week and it’s due here the week of the 24th. This posting has only made me more excited about it.
