Had some leftover walnut flooring from the dining room, and my wife came up with this design for the basement family room.

Just finished a hall table for some friends. I like the look of through tenons.

Covered the family room wall with cherry. I used 1/2 in mdf cherry for the field and then trimmed it in cherry. The intasia geese are about 10 years old and from a design by Judy Gale Roberts.

Turned out very nice. My wife likes it a lot.

I really enjoy intarsia, and I’ve done about a hundred of them. I can’t take credit for the designs, as they are mostly drawn by Judy Gale Roberts. But All of them are a challenge, in their own way, especially the tiger. That took me almost 6 months to complete. The cat on a limb was the first intarsia I ever attempted. It’s not the greatest quality, but it was my first step in the process.

In 2003, I built this blanket chest for my granddaughter. Of course, that meant I had to build more for each of the other grandchildren. They should last them their whole lives. These were very enjoyable projects.
