I have attached a video to help the beginner try and build a bed. It’s a relatively easy project even for the amateur. This was one of the first woodwork projects I ever did. If you need any help, send me a message or comment on this blog. Here’s the video:

Are you aware that the ‘Woodworking Plans 4 You” which you have taken so much time to build a site to promote, is a SCAM? Those plans, which are a) often not complete b) STOLEN!!! from other people, without their permission, thus violating their copyright. c) It is my understanding that there are no where near 14,000 plans in the group. This scam is widely known, but still, it shouldn’t be promoted here.
I realize they offer very high rewards to induce people like yourself, to help them rip people off, but is it worth it?
Also, did you use ‘royalty free music’ for your video? Did you pay for the right to use it?

The music is coming from the youtube audioswap feature. You don’t have to pay for the music as long as you agree to have youtube run ads on your video.
Also, what scam are you talking about? I’m offering free plans on my site. I don’t charge for anything. My sponsor sells a huge database of plans. There are thousands of different plans in pdf format that can help woodworkers of all skill levels with their woodwork projects. What, is information a scam now? Are books scams? Come on, now.

Look right, you too can be prominently displayed with your paid for ad. Until I see your ad, all of this is just an annoyance that I would rather see go away.

Bryan:
Your Site, does NOT, in my opinion, offer ANY Free PLANS (Dialogues are not plans) If I somehow missed the spot to click on, to obtain the “Free Plans” from YOUR Site please advise me as to where that would be.
The above video does little if anything to… ” help the beginner try and build a bed.” ...other than direct them to Your Site, if that’s what you mean by “help”. Once there …...............
MY Experience was that after clicking on a Main Project, It shows ONE Picture of that Project. Along with a Step by Step i.e. 1,2,3, or more Written Dialogue TELLING the person how to do it.
That dialogue NEVER finishes on ANY of the Projects without having to click on “More, or Cont.” , or something like that, to go from say..Step 3 …continued, or Step 4.
When you click on that you are automatically forwarded to this site http://www.woodworking4home.com/?hop=generaleet
Also, anything else on your site that “Activates” an Arrow Cursor such as the “14,000 Free Plans” Ballon in the upper right corner, does the same thing. That site does ONLY ONE THING. It sells a DVD that Supposedly has 14,000 Plans on it.
I looked at their “Affiliate Program”. They offer a “REFERRAL RATE” of 50% to 75% on the Selling Price of that DVD.
Perhaps I missed it, but I saw NO mention of any PDF Plans on That Site or Yours. Would You advise me as to where they are located also.
I would assume that who you refer to above as “My sponsor” is that Other Site. I would also assume, that You are an “Affiliate” of that Site.
Therefore, one might come to the Conclusion that quite possibbly, the Main & perhaps Only Reason that you are promoting Your Site on LJ’s is to Refer “Others” to that site thereby “Earning” Your “Affiliate Referral Fee”.
If I am Mistaken in any of the above ….please do not hesitate to advise me.
Thank You: Rick

Spam Scam, please get the fuck off of LJ, we don’t want you here. Why don’t you go get a job at Amway, or some other multi-level marketing scheme.

@chewbuddy13
Please watch the language. I come here because we are all adults and can express ourselves freely without using ignorant words.
Thanks!

I like how one the one hand you talk about everyone expressing themselves freely, but then you don’t like the words I use?! I’ll agree that we are all adult here and I haven’t said anything that anyone here hasn’t said a thousand times. How about you stop worrying about my lanuage, and stop leaving passive aggressive notes. And I see that you’ve only commented once, so apparently you don’t have a lot to say, probably because your a spam bot.

Kimberly, dont bother. This is SPAM.
Unfortunately David (as I know we are all just trying to make a living), you picked the wrong site. The members on this website are people who share a passion for woodworking, not for people trying to sell things. If you are done with your little plug, and would like to share your projects with us, then thats great, and welcome to LJ’s! (if you are just a member here to promote your own site…its time for you to go)

Kimberely & dakremer:
You might care to read my Posting above from 2 Days Ago. It has ALL of the information about this guy and his so called “Free Plans”.
There AREN’T ANY FREE PLANS!! His Site is a SCAM! It LINKS Directly to a Site that is highlighted above SELLING a 14,000 Plan DVD, Supposedly.
He has NO Projects to share! “welcome to LJ’s”? Who’s David? The sooner he gets the F—K Outta Here, The Better.
I’m surprised Martin has left this Post on here. I’ve gotten 2 Pm’s saying thanks for my Posting and that they have reported it to Martin. I have also done so, 2 days ago.
Hes’ also Posted somewhere else and I’m the First replier in there reffering ALL LJ’s to this Post.
Now I’m going to go and see if that one is still active.

And I wrote a while back on my personal blog about this EXACT scam. A good friend of mine (instead of coming to me for advice) bought this scam. He got his disk, put it in his computer, studied over the plans for about a week, THEEEEN decided to ask my advice. I went over and looked to see what in the world he was talking about. These plans on this disk are incomplete, some are so useless you could get more info from the ads in most woodworking magazines. Some are horrible plans that anyone could get for free with very little searching on the internet. Other plans on there are downright STOLEN. I eve seen some on there that came from the Cherry Tree Collection. While several sites take orders for that collection, such as www.woodcraftplans.com the only place to legally buy their plans directly are from http://www.cherrytreetoys.com/
Scams like this really tick me off. I do hope this guy is booted from here QUICK!
Also, now my friend’s computer has had to be put in the shop. I just found out last week, according to the guy at the computer shop, all the spyware and trogans on his computer came from THAT DISK!

William:
He also has a “Forum Topic” same thing as this http://lumberjocks.com/topics/19812 . First entry is mine warning other LJ’s about this. Plus my LENGHTY Post above to Him. All of this happened 7/8 Days ago. I PM’d Martin, so did a few others. Even though He’s still here, he hasn’t been heard from for those 7/8 Days.
I guess he made the decision that he wasn’t going to accomplish anything on here. But. Yes. It would be nice to see him gone.

PS: How are the “Alligator” and “Hummingbird” getting along ? ;-}

I seen both posts. I went and seen what he was trying to sell and felt it was my duty to post letting everyone know that what he is selling is even worse than a scam. It’s stolen, incomplete plans that can also potentially ruin your computer. The scam of selling multiple plans on one disk is a scam that any woodworker should know about by now, but, you know, just in case.
You’re doing a great service by making sure everyone is aware of both his posts though. I’d hate to see anyone from Lumberjocks fall into this kind of scam.
The alligator still overloads the hummingbird almost on a daily basis. I’ll work on that.
