Purple Heart - 13 replies

Was at my hardwood supplier yesterday. Saw a piece of purpleheart 14” wide and 10 feet long. Good price so I couldn’t resist. Now I have to figure out what to do with it. Any suggestions?

Bandsaw resaw question - 7 replies

I have access to several cut down trees and some dry logs. I’d like to resaw them on my bandsaw. Somewhere I saw an article or some information on how to make a jig to make the first cut to get a flat surface and the second cut to make two sides square to each other. I can’t remember where I saw the information. Does anyone have ideas?
