Thickness Sander - opinions?
Anybody have any experiences with Grizzly’s G0458 18” 1-1/2 HP Single-Phase Open End Drum Sander? I’m looking to buy a thickness sander and am unsure of which to get. These are on special now for about $850.

We’d like to welcome you back to LumberJocks. It’s been a while since you posted. We hope all is okay with you and your woodworking. Should you have a question on any type of woodworking, just ask. Somebody will have an answer.

Hi Bruce,
Glad to see another wood worker in Central New York. Any tips on resources in this area?
A few I can think of:
Lakeshore Hardwoods in Pulaski.
Sawdust and woodchips – Syracuse woodworking guild

Welcome Bruce….Nice ride…
You might be interested in my brothers blog. He is spending the summer vintage racing at a bunch of the classic American tracks. Lots of beautiful cars. My brothers is ugly as hell but a great old car.

Bruce,
Thanks for the welcome! How would I go about posting a question on the forum? I am a novice woodworker who has enjoyed watching NYWS for 19 years and last year, I decided to try woodworking and I was hooked!

Hey brunob,
I finally got some pitcures posted of my workshop, as you asked. Will try to get some up on my latest project… a coco bolo floorstanding mirror – it is almost ready for assembly.
Beautiful car BTW (I’m jealous!!)....
