Turning Douglas Fir - 4 replies

I’ve been asked to turn 26 deck rail post, 3” wide x 34” high out of Douglas Fir. The person that asked me to do this has a whole pile of 4×8 Douglas Fir post that he wants me to use. I’ve never turned Douglas Fir. Any pros and cons would be greatly appreciated.

Goodbye Delta Dust Collector - 6 replies

I’ve had one of Delta’s Shopmaster dust collectors connected to my Performax 22-44 for several years. I called a retired woodworking fr...

In a commercial environment we have no choice and have never had any problems eithe...
