I’ve been searching for a bigger more powerful band saw to replace my 14” Delta. On a casual visit to the Rockler Woodworknig Store I came across a deal I just couldn’t pass up. They had just received 4, 20 ” 3HP, bandsaws from Jet. After the manager quoted me a price of 1299.00, I told him I would purchase one immediately . There are 3 left now! So, did I get an awesome deal or what? Danny

Man – You’re going to love that thing! The smaller saws just don’t cut like the big ones, no matter what you put on them.

You sure did! I’ve got a 20 inch Delta and keep eyeing those 36 inch Tannnewitz machines. I would hate to go back to a small one.

Thanks Guys! I’m glad to hear this, cause I wasn’t sure if maybe I hadn’t over done it with this huge saw. 36”,Yikes! Can’t even imagine a band saw that big! This 20” is big enough to present a problem getting it into my shop. I’ve got a ten foot high ceiling, it’s just getting it through the 80” door I’m concerned about. Don’t suppose carefully tipping it on it’s side, while it’s still in the crate, would hurt to get her in. Some where I read on one of these chat sites was to clean off the cosmoline with lamp oil and then rubbing alcohol, does that sound right?... Also how do I access the spell check on this site? Thanks, Danny

Yiou are on your own for spell check. Google toolbar has one that they install. it at the top and it’s called ABC check.

I’ve got an 18” and I want a bigger one also.

Danny,
Firefox has on-the-fly spell checking.

Doug,

I’m on Firefox. How do you access it? Danny
