Hi. Recently retired from the airlines. Learning furniture making. Apprenticed for 6 months (no pay, no respect) at an upscale cabinet shop in Santa Monica. Built my own home and shop in Northern California and made a lot of sawdust. My eyes were bigger than my skills, so I bought a sliding table saw. What a mistake that was.

I did buy a WoodRat and with that equipment, I launched into all sorts of joint making. Next step is to get a jointer and planer and to build a Roubo-type bench. Will be living part of each year in Los Angeles.
