My wife and I were recently married and as you might expect, we got a lot of new dishes, glassware and other kitchen stuff as wedding gifts. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough space for them, so my wife told me to build a buffet/sideboard. We live in an apartment so I don’t have a workshop of my own, but my father in law does, so we’ve been working on the buffet for about a month now, spending about 1-2 days during the weekend on various parts. Here is where we are right now. The frame is all red oak. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make quadrilinear legs in the Stickley style, but once we get everything sanded and stained, I don’t think anyone will be able to tell that the legs are 3 boards laminated together without looking closely. We’re not too far away from being done, but as you can expect, working on a project only 1-2 days per weeks makes for slow progress. This is my first major project.
