This is a trick that many, if not most of you, already know. But it’s a good one and bears repeating. The bindingback in business or solving the Gothic knot! Ok Mike, I’m back, was actually afraid the willow would be useless now, but I put them in a bag of water, and they even started to make roots… Hmmmm, øhhhhhh, baaaaa. Someone help me!!! Once again I find myself apologizing to all who are following this build. Three months ago we ended up having to get a new computer. And right at the same time, I ended up getting a few smaller commissions. Once those were done, there was little time left to get everything made for an art show that was this past weekend. Now.. After admiring the double and double-double dovetail joints that are capable with the Incra and other jigs, I started thinking, “Why not try this by hand?” So this box is my first experiment with handcut double dovetails. It took me some time to figure out the joinery process, but once I realized a few things about this type of joint, it seemed do-able. It was quite challenging but also a ton of fun.
