Me and the kid part 1

Had my grandson over today and we made a pencil holder and started Moms foot stool.
Unfortunately SAS (Short Attention Span) took over and we shipped the boy over to Grandma for swimming lessons.
We were hoping for Mot and his Kids but croup took its toll on the fun.

Cheers

Bob
p.s carved a bowl after they left. <g>

Sometimes I wish I had kids to pass this stuff onto. Have any of you seen Charles Neil's youtube video on introducing kids to woodworking. It gets you thinking. I'm not sure how to post the link - but if you can find Charles you can find the Youtube video.

Way Cool!!! I'm looking forward to when my grandkids are old enough to do this. And your comment to Betsy is right on. If you don't have your own, grab one off the street. Kids need productive activities and good mentors. Sounds like a job for a LumberJock.

I had my granddaughter help unload a trailer loaad of material on Friday. I could have let the kid I hired go home and will next time. she's 14 and kinda horsey. I asked her which she wanted to learn first , wood or leather. She replied, " Dirt bikes!. I said, crap or something of the nature.
From the brand that beaver came from the famous Maple Leaf Ranch.
