Roll Around Tool Cabinet #6: Face Frame Attached and Plugs for Countersink Screw Holes

Time passed quickly today. I was only able to fasten the face frame to the cabinet case and plug the countersink screw holes today. However, it was a good day. I will use my hand plane to shave some of the excess width of the face frame tomorrow. There is a small fraction that needs to be trimmed. Also I started to pare flush the plugs. The remainder will be finished tomorrow.

Twin Tower Bookcases

I gave my original Tower Bookcases made from maple to my son Scott. These bookcases were offered as free woodworking plans from I liked the plan because these bookcases take very little floor space. I can place them on each side of the master headboard. We like to read in bed. These bookcases allow us to store our current readings nearby. I am now replacing those bookcases that we kept on each side of our master bed. This one is being made with cherry and I have made it...

Projects #1: Rocking Horse 2011

Well, I am started down the road now to creating a rocking horse for my granddaughter, Emma.She will be two years old this Christmas, and has now just begun to walk. So I figure, if I start it now,I’ll finish in time for this Christmas… This horse is being created loosely from the Woodsmith Rocking Horse, issue #65, with a little creative flair this time around. I last built one of these some 16 years ago, for my oldest granddaughter, who is going to graduate from high school next...
