Make a Folding Out Feed Table for your Table Saw

02-20-2013 05:22 PM by WoodJediNTraining | 16 comments »

This Week I show you how to make a folding out feed table for your table saw. This design was based after an article and plan found in a 2009 issue of Woodworker’s Journal Magazine. Originally the plan was designed for a Cabinet saw with a Biesemeyer Fence System, so I had to make some slight modifications for my Porter Cable Saw. In this 3 part video series I show you a step by step on building this project as well as talk about the modifications I had to make. The Article and plans ca...

10-13-2009 05:44 PM by OregonBurls | 37 comments »

Hey everyone, It was suggested that I start a discussion on how to find and harvest burls. Please give your input also. I don’t deal with straight grain that often. I cut and sell burls for a living so here is what I know. It is illegal to harvest a burl without permission. of course if it is on your own property you can give yourself permission. Making a Violin #4: Cutting the 4mm edge to size

11-22-2010 07:26 AM by RonPeters | 3 comments »

The wood shaped to the line. If you check back a few posts there were two lines. My ‘final’ line is what you see remaining. Here’s a jig I made to cut the edges to size. Does anyone see what ‘the problem’ is in this picture? Think hard… It’s a 1hp Craftsman router with a 3/8” straight bit. I call it a ‘face off’ bit, but I could be wrong? The jig part is the device holding the router steady. It’s 1/8” alu...
