Hello all. I am in need. A need to fill the void. The void is an empty spot. The empty spot in an area of the shop I haven’t seen in years. There actually is a floor under all that “junk” as the bride would say. (I say golden treasures.) But, what I need now is spiritual help and a set of free plans for a drift boat or dory. I know I can build one, just need the plans. Have looked and downloaded several but cant find ones concerning a Montana style. Those guys craft some s...

I made this wood-burned paddle for my mother-in-law/father-in-law’s living room in like, 2002, I think. I took a lot of photos of it, and I couldn’t bring myself to choose only six for a project post. Plus, this is so old, it’s better as a blog. I just used a standard burning tool, with no fancy attachments… just a fine point. I love to wood-burn! It’s hanging in their living room under a shelf with a ship on it. I hope you like it! :) ...
Well folks, it has been quite a while since I’ve been able to get on here and talk about the project. If you haven’t read any of the previous blogs, this is a wine rack that I built for my brother’s wedding. If you want the basic construction, see the prior posts. From here on is the little decoration details… I hope I don’t have too many pictures ;). I think I’ll let the pictures do some of the talking for me but I want to capture the whole process....
On May 6, 2009, I was taken to the hospitol for chest pains and having trouble breathing. I was additted within the hour and given all kinds of test. My lungs had given out. I could not produce enough oxygen to supply my blood. I was put on oxygen that was really being forced in hard. This supplied the oxygen it took to substained my blood. Ireally dont know how they figure all that. All I know is I have to have forced oxygen on at all times now to get enough in my blood. It is truely a pure...

Sorry this is taking so long to set up… The suggestion I was given, was, to run the spoon guessing contest as a blog, so that is what I’ll do. No one had the right guess last month, so I will use the same spoon. If you check back and...
After cutting quite a few stumps down for different wood projects, We would need to flatten the bottom side to have it sit flat on the floor for say a table base. We would just throw the scrape peices into a plie and they would become filewood. We then started to review these throw aways a little clooser some of them were quite unique in shape and size, I started to save them as they would pile up I took a few into the shop and showed Mary them and she started with her ideas what we could use...
Well folks, this is the first time I’ve ever attempted to document any project that I’ve done, so, hold onto your hats and hopefully I won’t make any major mistakes! I’ll attempt to bring you through the stages of my project with me!! Dreaming Stage / Research StageMy brother’s wedding is coming up in about mid-May and I decided that I wanted to make a small (but tall) wine rack for him and his newlywed. I did some reconnaissance work and found out that his f...
