I feel so disgusted with myself, just three weeks ago I was on here publicly declaring my involvement with a router plane, now the despicable creature that I am my attention has turned to a mortising attachment for the drill press…

Well I’ve turned over a new leaf by showing up early for the first class of Woodworking Level 2.
This course will be about the safe and efficient use of the basic stationary power tools. To this end we will be building a project which allows us to use all of the tools presented as well as some of the skills learned in the first level.

Well the Level 1 is done and no I didn’t get my nail tray finished; I need about another hour to get it all together including fixing my myriad ‘learning opportunities’:-)
I had a chance to use a rabbetting plane! and a brace and bit. I am very impressed with how easily these tools worked, I had anticipated that they would be much less effective for a lot more effort. I will be keeping my eyes open for good garage sales and auctions for more hand tools now.
