A drawn and a carved pattern

It seems to me that a drawn pattern and a carved one are completely different things. And it’s all about their perception: sometimes something that can be drawn on paper can not be carve out on wood – because they would have different compositional moments. What looks good on paper could look not so good as a whole composition on wood – maybe, because of the depth of carving.
