I had hoped to leave this announcement until the relevant issue of Wood Magazine came out. However people have started to recognise my Zee box as being in the next (October) issue (I am told its due to be on the newsstands 11th October) along with an article on how to make it.
Strangely they (Wood Magazine) in the person of Lucas Peters approached me about featuring it. I thought it was the other way around, you submit stuff to them!. Oh well. This was way back in February as they have to ...

The latest issue of Wood Magazine (Issue 192-Sept 2009) is just hitting the mailboxes and will soon be at the bookstores and magazine racks.
On the cover is Norm Abram, but on page three, listed in the index is a mention for my joint testing video! They also printed an image captured from the video.
I am honored and excited about being chosen for a mention in Wood Magazine.
I plan on doing more videos in the future, but they take a lot of work and I have my own business to run so ple...

Hey guys!
As usual, the summer season is the busiest for my remodeling work and it takes me away from my passion of sharing with the woodworking community. But I will take what I can get so the good news is that I am still at it.
The latest issue of WOOD Magazine has just hit the bookstores and mailboxes and I was lucky enough to get a full page of coverage! The article gives tips from 4 small pro shops and mine was one of the shops covered.
While there is a lot more wisdom and exper...

I just finished reading Tom Lovino’s article in Wood Magazine and I have to say it really hit home. I even gave the article to my girlfriend to read and when she was done she said “that sounds just like you!”. If you haven’t read the article, the basic idea is that he was talking to a friend of his who was really bent out of shape because he couldn’t get his table saw into alignment any better than .002 inches. Then, he remembered that his friend is an engineer...

So I was looking around CL for stuff that I don’t have the need or room for and came accross a listing for (2) armloads of wood for $1 a piece. Was suppose to include some pine, dowels, and other misc. small pieces, birdhouse stuff.
I went out and check out the wood piles they had for sale, a bunch of random stuff, that I’ll go back tomorrow and sort through some more. She told me take a look inside the garage also, as this was all her fathers stuff and they were trying to sort...

Hey Guys!
Since my last post about showing in the fine woodworking exhibition with my Frank Lloyd Wright inspired prairie chandelier, the Museum of the Rockies has posted the artists’ audio interviews online. You will find them at the Museum of the Rockies website.
To hear an artist’s audio recording, just click on their name. Each person tells a little about themselves and the work they have on display.
Here is a list of the artists I am showing with at the Museum of...

First off I want to thank everyone for your warm welcomes to Lumberjocks and thank Kelly aka Master Sergeant for giving me the idea to make my Avatar Sergeant 1st Class Orville P. Snorkel from Beetle Bailey. Being a retired Sergeant First Class from the US Army is a huge part of my identity and as my wife told me last night Sarge fits me. This is the first maintenance week that I have taken sense wood working has become my full time job. For those of you who follow Mark Spagnuolo on The Wood ...
