Spoon and Kuksa carvingin Turkey…. Hi LJ’s, I’m back in Copenhagen after a month and a half of summer vacation in Turkey under the sun.So I will like to share a little of the atmosphere and some of the woodworking I managed to do as I was there. After arriving in Turkey to our house, I soon started my Jawa motorcycle and drove out to get some wood in the forest.Found some olive trees and a fig tree in a remote spot, where no one would notice a few branches was cut off....

Kuksa wood cupdrinking from nature Yes I don’t really know what to call it, so I will call it a wood cup, I think it should be made from birch burl and not spalted beech, if it should really be a Kuksa.You can find this under many names: Kuksa, Wood cup, Guksi, Duodji, kåsa… I posted some sap harvest pegs the other day and people asked; ‘what will you use birch sap for?’, the answer is simple; ‘for drinking’, it can be a sweet supplement for your drin...

Wood cup / Kuksaor just a wonderful way to drink a cappuccino in nature… After a walk in the forest with Filiz I came home with some wood…Just could not resist since I just worked on my carving tools.So it was time to put some of these tools to work. I had no plan for the green wood when I brought it home, but I realized that this one had the size to become a fine little cup, so I cut the wood up for this one.Last time I made a cup I was in Scotland: http://lumberjocks.com/p...
