Here is the workbench that I talked about in the last shop tour video.
Inspired by the lightweight, high-strength components found in helicopters, Bridge City Tool Works has made a work of art that planes wood. The stainless-steel CT-17 block plane from Bridge City Tool Works is perhaps the best-looking plane I’ve ever seen. And the beauty is more than skin deep because the new plane doubles as both a conventional and low-angle model. Lock up your credit cards . $860.00 http://www.bridgecitytools.com/ —E J

Download Low ResolutionDownload High ResolutionSubscription Options Why Bother? The lumber rack is the unsung hero of the woodworking shop. Its responsible for holding our raw materials safely, securely, and in an organized fashion until we’re ready to use them. Let’s face it: we are all wood hoarders when it comes down to it and most of us over-buy lumber intentionally. So if you plan on amassing anything that can be called a wood “collection” you need a sturdy pl...
The last of Ryan’s 3-part video series on constructing a basic face frame cabinet with the parts that he cut out before making the videos. This video shows how to attach the counter-top supports (A.K.A. stretchers, stiffeners, spreaders or whatever you want to call them) as well as general guidance, tips, tricks and information that should help a DIY genius (such as yourself) along the way. More to come; GIT SOME!!
Unlike the masked man of magic, Ryan reveals the highly secret process of constructing a kitchen cabinet. Well, maybe not so secret, but hopefully an easier, clearer and more straight-to-the-point process to follow. This video shows how to attach backs, or backing, to face frame cabinet modules.
This video highlights a method of constructing decorative boxes (A.K.A. Cabinets) for residential application (or wherever). Rich or poor, young or old, cheap or expensive, whatever the application, the basic process is all the same. Individual skill and creativity determines the overall outcome, aesthetics and quality of the construction. Watch more videos, look at pictures, read books and articles and create your own masterpiece(s); it’s not rocket science. The old adage applies, &...
Hey guys. Here is a cool little idea I came up with tonight for a table i’m making that is going to be portable and foldable. The table is a chiropractic table for practicing palpation and adjusting techniques. You can see my first model here. There was some stability problems with my first one. (mainly I had only 5 legs…..1 at each corner, and 1 in the middle. The middle leg was creating a pivot point, which was throwing the balance off). This new table will have 6 legs. ...
