Being an RC airplane modelist I have accuired tools that are used for this hobby that can also be very well suited for woodworking. If you are using a tipical house hold iron for you banding there’s a better tool for this and it doesn’t take up near the room that a house hold iron does. I use it when I do banding and it can be purchased at any local hobby store that sells RC related stuff It's called Hanger 9 Sealing Iron

The 60 degree band saw sled as seen in the woodworking video is made from scrap. It took 15 minutes to build from scrap material.
