Since I have installed the Delta T2 fence on my Craftsman tablesaw, I have had a few people asking how I installed it, especially, how I installed the fence so that it would zero properly. For those that are thinking about installing this fence on a craftsman, you WILL have to drill new holes in the rails. I have to say setting up a wood shop is just as much work and cash, if not more, then setting up a steel shop. Luckily a few of the steel tools are useful and will come in handy to the wood shop. I have also a few tools from a set of cedar drafting drawers I built oh, 5 years back. It was a one time thing and at the time living in an apartment, dust was every where. I mentioned in one of my project post where I pictured a small hand plane that I made in my shop that I also make the irons and sharpening stones. Thought I’d share a couple pics of some of my, umm… ‘creations’. I’m sure everyone has fabricated a makeshift tool before, and shopmade jigs are commonplace. Now I see why they have machines to do this… I think I went into this overconfident in my abilities. How hard could it be to cut out a simple notch in a board??? Fairly hard when your attitude exceeds your ability. First, I bought a ‘fancier’ saw than the basic dovetail saw and it just made things worse. How to cut a straight line

This method may seem somewhat unusual but with time it will result in perfect cut. I begin by warming 2 cups of water to approximately 110 degrees. To this you will add 2/3 cup of sugar and stir until dissolved. To the sugar water solution add 1 ½ tablespoons of a dry active yeast.
