With the legs complete I moved on to milling and gluing up the stock for the table top. I also used a simple trammel jig to mark the arcs on the ends of the top and cut them on the band saw. Check out the post on my blog for the details and photos of the process. Thanks for reading!

Well, after a little bit of tweeking, It looks to be working… (keeping my fingers crossed). This was just to be a proof of concept (prototype), but it seems to be working well enough that I’ll use it for the rest of the production and make a better one next time. Thanks to all for your suggestions.

This part of the project gave me more grief than any so far. They have to be perfect and exactly the same otherwise you have a wobble horse instead of a rocker. So, I decided to make a prototype.
Setting up a temporary trammel and using all the bench square footage I could muster, I started measuring the arcs.
