Dread Knot Woodshop #1: I started a YouTube Channel!

After years of watching other woodworkers on YouTube, I thought it was time for me to join in. I have started a woodworking channel called Dread Knot Woodshop (you can find it here). My Workshop Tour My workshop has two levels the ground floor where all my tools are (54m2/580ft2) and the half top floor (16m2/172ft2) which has two rooms; one is used as a paint booth and the other as a drying area as well as storage room. Entering the shop the in the center is the heart of my shop, the table saw/router table, an out-feed table serves also for assembly and in the far East wall my SCMS station. Shop Tour/Axe Handle Sneak Peak

I have had a broad head axe sitting around in my shop for almost a year now. It is sad to see that thing just sitting there. The other night I decided to go ahead and starting shaping a piece of wood for the handle. In this video I take you on the “other side” of the wood shop, the smithing area. While giving a short tour I show the axe handle and what tools I’m using to get it to it’s shape. Enjoy!

Hi Lumberjocks! This is the High school that I got my first formal training in woodworking. This video shows the most popular features of the school. It’s too bad it doesn’t show the fabulous woodworking shops. They had every tool plus industrial sized machines.
