Remember you’re grade school teachers saying you’d get lead poisoning if you didn’t keep your pencil out of your mouth?
Well, they lied.
In 1564 an enormous deposit of graphite was discovered in Borrowdale, England and pencils have been made from this non-toxic material ever since. I used to subscribe to just about every woodworking magazine out there. I have cut back to only a couple total now but I still peruse them all at the local book store.
Today I picked up the current issue of Popular Woodworking #181 and found an article by LJ member Tom Fidgen.
The article found on page 58 is an excerpt from his newly released book Made By Hand. I own a copy of this book and love it. It is a hard bound book, well constructed, and full of wonderful information and images....
