We have a store chain in Maine that buys up other going out of business or damaged goods stuff and sells it in their stores. It’s called Mardens. It’s full of stuff. On any day you might see a bunch of GE refrigerators from a buy out of a furniture store going out of business, or a bunch of stuff from various stores in a hurricane damaged area. I have over the past few weeks been able to start taking some overstock merchandise, merchandise that the customer either forgot about or didn’ t have the funds to pay after the customer used the companies sharpening service. Some of the blades, router bits and some shaper bits , I will be keeping for my self but, to be albe to buy more I have to sale items I don’t normally use or if there is way more of an item or group of items than I can use myself. Recently I purchased a Steam Bending Kit from Rockler Woodworking and Hardware so I could try out some Steam Bending. Bending wood is something I have never tried before and is out of my comfort zone. I wanted to dive into this area of woodworking and challenge myself as well as learn something new. 2 Board Modular Bookshelf - Woodworking Basics

This modular bookshelf is a great project for beginning woodworkers and you veteran woodworkers as well. Requiring only 2 boards to build and a limited amount of tools, this project can be made in a day or a weekend. the design can be modified by building more cubes or changing the orientation of the unit itself. Add some color and it makes a great display and shelving unit for a kids room. Give it a try.

2 Simple Shop Jigs - Multi Function Tapering / Sandpaper Sheet Quartering

Hey everyone, Just wanted to share a couple of shop Jigs with you. One is a quick and simple jig for quartering your sheets of sandpaper to use in your palm sanders or sanding blocks. The second jig is a multi function tapering Jig that lets you do 4 sided tapers as well as straight edging rough sawn boards and cutting angles also..
