Lumber Jocks, Here is a list I made up for looking for Holiday sales for wood working supplies and tools. I would expect that most of you know about all these sites. However, if you see on that is new to you then, it was worth my time to create and post this list. New Shop! #4: Building supplies have arrived!

Last week the 32’ x 12’ bi-fold door arrived from Manitoba. We used the mini Deere excavator to unload it and walk it to the shop. Some relatives from Holland were visiting and assisted in the moving of the door. Yesterday the building supplies arrived for the additions onto the shop. From what I saw, the was just trusses for the roof and tin for the exterior, so I imagine supplies for the walls are yet to come. They say the building will start by next monday at the latest. ...

Well my daughter has made me do this blog so I have fellow craftsmen to hang out with. It’s going to be my tips, tricks, and personal opinions on the business of wood working after 60 years. To start out – Here’s a beef of mine - You know out here in California we have a hard time getting certain finishing products due to EPA rules. Any other California woodworkers having this problem?

Why Are You So Expensive?

This is the question that I run into all the time when I bid jobs. Today I picked up materials for a small job and I mulled over this question as I stood staring at the cargo in my truck. Three boards of cherry and one sheet of 1/4” mdf core cherry… $217. Well, at least I got the job. Peace, Love, & Woodworking
