Router Table #13: Leveling the Insert - Incra Style

02-01-2010 06:18 AM by PurpLev | 10 comments »

Up until now I was leveling my insert (also on my TS) with blue painters tape – yeah, ghetto, but it works, cheap, and available. When I made the order with Lee Valley last week, I ordered a pack of 10 capscrews and though I’d try to incorporate the leveling concept on the Incra made table. as I stated in my previous post- If I had to start it over, I’d just order the table top from Incra and be done with it – they are worth their price. however. since I already had...

(Full steam ahead on Router Inlay!) Here is the link: Working with Melamine

07-21-2008 06:17 AM by Sawdustonmyshoulder | 8 comments »

Sunday evening and it’s time to blog about the weekend in the shop. First on the agenda was to move the big tools around to make room to make a 54” by 144” table top in a two-car garage. Went to the blue box store and picked up a couple of 2×6 x 12’s and three sheets of 5/8 particleboard. I extended my workbench to be 4 foot by 12 foot. Works great! I took all of the 1×12’s out of the dinning room and straightened and made both edges paralle...
