Rick and I attended the “Woodstock Wood show” (Ontario Canada) this morning.
It was a beautiful rainy day—perfect weather for trekking around in the mud and getting chilled through and through. But—it’s a wood show. You can’t go wrong.
The crowds weren’t huge but then it is a Friday morning and it is raining.

Ordered the Steel City 11/2hp 65200 dust collector today. Got a good deal at ToolKing. $100 rebate and free shipping. Final price $299. Now the wait for delivery. It’s like Christmas all over again. :)

Last night Rick and I went to St. George, to Morley Miller Machinery. For their Christmas Open House they had a some company reps present to answer any questions about their products.
In attendance were representatives from Steel City, King Canada, and BlackJack.
We checked out a number of gadgets at the BlackJack display, including some sanding drums that attach to a drill press. You just cut your sandpaper to size, slip it around the drum, slide it into the drill press ...

Well, this project has been on hold until my new Grizzly G0651 arrives. Grizzly told me twice, once before I ordered and once after I ordered, that the new saws were due into their warehouse around May 9th. So, I decided to trust them even know I heard rumors on the Internet that others were told June. I ordered the saw and put this project on hold.

Yeah, I know, I’m two weeks late in getting this done, but hey, Life sometimes gets busy. (of course that’s not the real reason, I’ve just been a bit lazy.)
I made myself a promise that I would get a new table saw this year. My craftsman contractors saw was at the limit of what I wanted it to do.
